The YAT application serves as a versatile timer tool designed to facilitate the creation of customized timed routines suitable for a broad range of activities.

Featuring a clean and intuitive interface, YAT’s design emphasizes generality and functionality, making it adaptable for various uses. Users can develop routines for exercise, yoga, cooking, presentations, massage, art modeling, meditation, gaming, or any other activity requiring precise timing. Each routine can comprise multiple steps, with each step accommodating multiple repetitions. Additionally, “Break” steps enable the segmentation of routines into sections that are initiated manually by pressing the “Start” button when ready.

The app includes a stopwatch with a novel “Repeated Trials Mode,” optimized for timing multiple repetitions of an activity and automatically calculating an average duration to enhance measurement accuracy and reliability.

For added utility, YAT incorporates a clock featuring large digits in user-selectable fonts for ease of reading at a glance, complemented by an optional ticking sound.

Notable features include:
- Optional audible reading of step titles at the start of each step
- Configurable transition times between steps
- Customizable color schemes and fonts
- A selection from 60 alert sounds
- Support for dark mode, including in iOS versions prior to 13
- Compatibility across iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices (iOS 9.0 and above)
- Both portrait and landscape orientations
